FGD on implementation of Regulated Agent and Authorized Economic Operator

On 28 June 2018, EuroCham participated in a Focus Group Discussion held by the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs. The discussion focused on finding similarity between security screening of export goods by Regulated Agent (RA) as inspection agency appointed by Ministry of Transportation, and security measures required by the Customs for Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) companies which can receive custom treatment facilities. Both AEO and RA initiatives highlight the importance of cargo security as a part of supply chain from when the goods produced in Indonesia until received at export destination.

Notably participated in this event are representatives from Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs, the Directorate General of Customs and Excise from the Ministry of Finance, Directorate General of Civil Aviation of Ministry of Transportation, the Indonesia Logistics and Forwarder Association, IATA and few individual airlines as well as AEO companies.
