The Working Groups are the backbone and the main communication tool of the chamber.
Through the Annual Position Paper, which is presented to the Indonesian Government, the Working Groups outline the most pressing business problems for European companies in Indonesia, and make recommendations on how the Indonesian Government can improve the country's business environment. The documents also serve as working tools for European Commission officials. The Position Papers aim to present accurate sectoral assessments that can be used to improve the business and investment climate in the country towards facilitating the growth and development of the Indonesian economy, as well as engage the European companies and the Indonesian authorities in a positive results-orientated dialogue.
EuroCham currently has 13 sectoral Working Groups that regularly meet to discuss issues concerning their specific industries. In addition to the working groups, EuroCham also observes regulatory developments in the fields of banking, hospitality, labor, textiles, ICT and machinery/investment goods.
