On 23 July 2019, EuroCham was invited by the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs to a focus group discussion on the potential of automation in Indonesia. The meeting was opened by DR. Ir. Mohammad Rudy Salahuddin (Deputy for Creative Economy, Entrepreneurship, and Competitiveness of Cooperation and SMEs), and followed by a brief presentation by Mr. Tony Brennan (Alpha-Beta Consultant for Prospera) regarding the impact of automation to the Economy of Indonesia. The overall discussion was moderated by Mr. Raden Pardede (Assistance Team from the Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs) intended to gather inputs from not only other government ministries and agencies, but also industry players to further develop policy framework in Indonesia

EuroCham continues conducting series of media visits to media outlets to introduce and promote advocacy activities. These visits also aimed to open up possibilities for collaborations in the future. The Secretariat visited the Katadata.co.id on 18 July 2019, and followed by a visit to Medcom.id on 24 July 2019. During these visits EuroCham also exchange views and information with the media on the general economic, trade and investment climate in Indonesia. Also highlighted is how investment from Europe and EuroCham member companies could contribute to the economic growth of Indonesia.
