Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) is the result of the merging of several previous working groups, including Agriculture, Food and Beverage (AFB), Cosmetic, Retail and Tobacco Working Group. With the merger in place, the Working Group will now have a stronger voice in advocating for policy recommendations.

As a result of the merger, the FMCG Working Group has become one of the largest working groups within EuroCham, encompassing member companies from various sectors including food and beverage manufacturing, horticultural, dairy, alcoholic beverage, tobacco, clothing, and cosmetics. Currently, the Working Group is addressing a wide range of issues, with each sub-working group focusing on specific issues such as halal regulation, import quotas, customs tariff policy, excise of plastic packaging and sugar, waste regulations, BPOM regulations, SNI, and import substitution.

The Working Group will continue to engage with the government and related stakeholders and foster intensive dialogue related to current issues in the FMCG sector. Their collaborative approach underscores a shared commitment to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of the FMCG sector. Through their joint efforts, the Working Group aims to address challenges, seek solutions, and promote industry growth in Indonesia.
