Crédit Agricole CIB: Xavier Roux is Appointed Chief Representative Office for Indonesia

Hong Kong / Indonesia – 20 April 2022 – Crédit Agricole CIB is pleased to announce the appointment of Xavier Roux as Chief Representative Officer for Indonesia, effective today.

In his new capacity, Xavier will continue to develop the Bank’s relationship with its local clients and further identify business opportunities in the country. Stationed in Jakarta, Xavier reports to Michel Roy, Senior Regional Officer for Asia-Pacific.

Xavier started working with the Crédit Agricole Group in New York in the Merger & Acquisitions department and has since held various roles in the Bank, including Chief Executive Officer, Hong Kong and Head of Corporate and Specialised Finance for Asia-Pacific. From 2007 to 2014, he was Senior Country Officer for China with the mission to set up the banking subsidiary. He then became the Bank’s Senior Country Officer for Canada, an entity which became a full branch under his leadership, before taking up the newly appointed role.

Michel Roy, Senior Regional Officer for Asia-Pacific, commented on the appointment: “Xavier’s solid leadership experience and robust business acumen will be a vital asset for the Bank as we strive to support both our local and multinational clients in Indonesia through our international network and offshore offerings.”

Based in Jakarta, Crédit Agricole CIB has been present in Indonesia since 1968. The Bank promotes a comprehensive range of products and services in diverse areas of structured finance, international trade and export finance, commodity finance, corporate banking, fixed income, bond issuance and advisory. Crédit Agricole CIB clientele consists of Indonesian governmental entities, state-owned enterprises, large conglomerates and financial institutions, as well as multinational corporations.

Bhumi Varta Technology and Jasa Raharja Sign Spatial Data Utilization Agreement

On Tuesday, April 19, 2022, Bhumi Varta Technology and PT Jasa Raharja (Persero) held a ceremonial signing of the Collaboration on Spatial Data Utilization. The document was signed by the CEO of BVT, Benny Emor, and the Director of Institutional Relations of Jasa Raharja, Munadi Herlambang.

This event was also attended by the Deputy for Human Resources, Technology and Information of the Ministry of SOEs, Tedi Bharata, the Assistant Deputy for Insurance and Pension Funds, Anindita Eka Wibisono, and VP of IT at IFG, Joseph Georgino Godong as well as BVT Co-founder and Investor Martyn Terpilowski.

Deputy Tedi Bharta speaking for the Ministry of SOEs' stated in his speech, “all digital transformation needs to be supported” and that he can't wait for the collaboration. He also expressed his happiness that BVT build its software in Tangerang and it is 100% locally made by the Indonesian workforce.

Mr. Terpilowski thanked the attendees from BUMN and Jasa Raharja and stated BVT's commitment, “to make truly world-class software in Indonesia, for Indonesia”. He stated that BVT's location analytics platform can help many government agencies and private companies to make better data-driven decisions. He also stated, “we are producing locally-made mapping products to help with routing and logistics too”.

This collaboration will support digital transformation and provide richer and more efficient solutions for the people of Indonesia.

Bhumi Varta Technology was formed in 2018 and provides location Intelligence and big data analytics for a number of government agencies and private companies. They currently employ over 150 people in their BSD offices and have strong growth plans for the coming years.
