PT Bayer Indonesia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia on Wednesday, 6 September 2017. Witnessed by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. dr. Nila Farid Moeloek, Sp.M (K), the MoU signing reflect a joint commitment in an effort to improve community knowledge and empowerment towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the health sector.

Through the MoU, PT Bayer Indonesia and the Ministry of Health agreed to collaborate in two leading programs that include Posyandu cadres empowerment surrounding the Bayer health care plant in Cimanggis and public education on the prevention of malaria and dengue fever.

Bayer Indonesia commemorates 60th anniversary of its business presence in Indonesia on Monday, 4 September 2017. Hosted by General Manager PT Bayer Indonesia Angel-Michael Evangelista, the event was graced by Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Industry, and also attending by Linda Sitanggang, Director General Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Services Ministry of Health along with other relevant stakeholders from different institutions.

The anniversary marked a total IDR 1.6 trillion that Bayer Indonesia has invested, including the new IDR 500 billion for quality and capacity enhancement of its Cimanggis plant. The plant was built on an area of 102,000 m2 and more than 18,000 m2 facility to produce health care products that currently exports 75% of its production to 30 countries.
