EuroCham Attended Socialization of BPOM Regulations
On 28 April 2021, the National Agency for Food and Drug Control (BPOM) conducted a socialization on BPOM Regulation No. 8 of 2021 on the Forms and Types of Certain Cosmetic Preparations that Can be Produced by the Cosmetics Industry that Has a Cosmetics Production Certificate for Group B. This event also highlight the issuance of BPOM Decree No. HK.02.01.1.2.03.21. 125/2021 on Technical Guidelines for the Issuance of Recommendations for the Application of the Cosmetics Notification, both conducted online and offline.
The activity was opened by the Deputy for Supervision of Traditional Medicines, Health Supplements and Cosmetics, Reri Indriani, and chaired by the Director of Standardization for Traditional Medicines, Health Supplements, and Cosmetics, drh. Rachmi Setyorini. The purpose of the event, which was attended by more than 300 participants from associations and businesses operating in the cosmetics sector as well as BPOM officers throughout Indonesia, was to provide a better understanding for businesses about the provisions of the two regulations.
Speaking at BAPI Kick Off Meeting
The Head of EuroCham Energy Working Group, Thomas Wagner, was invited as a spokesperson at the kick-off meeting on Business Accelerator Program Indonesia (BAPI), held on 15 April. This program was organized by the Swedish Energy Agency together with Business Sweden Indonesia to support BAPI companies to receive an update on the Indonesian market. In this session, the topic covered was on the area of sustainable energy, including renewable energy’s growth in the Indonesian market. Thomas Wagner provided a number of points highlighting the latest policy developments pertaining to Indonesia’s energy sector, particularly on the Renewable Energy Bill and the Presidential Regulation on Renewable Energy. He also provided an update on Indonesia’s energy market as well as shared EU companies’ experience in developing the Indonesian market.
