On 2 September 2020, the Head and Deputies of the EuroCham Finance, Tax, and Investment Working Group held a coordination meeting to jointly discuss upcoming activities, including priority topics for upcoming discussions and position papers, as well as the likely stakeholders to be engaged. On the basis of this meeting, the Working Group will continue to collaboarate with relevant associations and foreign chambers in advocating common concerns to the government stakeholders. The Working Group will also continue to conduct virtual meetings by inviting internal and external speakers to discuss relevant topics.

To provide updates regarding project financing, the Energy Working Group conducted a webinar entitled, “Phasing Out the Coal Financing into Green Financing.”. The webinar was conducted on 27 August 2020 in response to the reduction of funding for coal, which will likely impact to the shift to New Renewable Energy. Coal is not considered a "green industry” that can be supported by global financial institutions as most are committed to financing "green energy" projects these days. The webinar invited a number of notable speakers, namely Nicolas Parrot (President Director of BNP Paribas) and David Cullerier (EuroCham Board Patron for the Energy Working Group/President Director of ENGIE Indonesia), and the overall discussion was moderated by Thomas Wagner (Head of EuroCham Energy Working Group/Chief Representative South East Asia of EnviTec Biogas AG).
