EuroCham Indonesia attended the EU-ASEAN Business Council event "Leapfrogging into a Healthy Future in Indonesia", as part of the Healthcare Roadshow in ASEAN on 31 July at Ayana Jakarta. The event was opened by Chris Humphrey, Executive Director of EU-ABC and H.E. Budi Gunadi Sadikin, the Minister of Health, provided his keynote speech focusing on the government's outlook and efforts for healthcare transformation.

With the Omnibus Health Bill recently passed into law, the government seeks to promote transparency in the distribution of Healthcare products, especially preventive and promotive products. Moreover, the government aims to guarantee healthcare access and resiliency to the Indonesian people to prepare when the next pandemic occurs.

Evie Yulin, Board Member of EuroCham & President Director of Merck Indonesia, as well as Christophe Piganiol, President Director of APL Indonesia (member of EuroCham) kicked off the panel discussions with the focus on Enhancing Thyroid Care within the Indonesian Health System, and Making Healthcare More Accessible by Stengthening Supply Chains.

EuroCham Indonesia had the honor to receive a courtesy visit from Ferry Akbar Pasaribu, Assistant Deputy for Investment Strategy at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime and Investment Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, on 27 July 2023.

Together, productive discussions were held on the priorities of EuroCham’s advocacy word and discussed ways for collaboration between our two organizations. Looking forward to our strategic collaboration in the near future.
