EuroCham Courtesy Meeting with BPJPH

On 30 May, EuroCham Indonesia had the opportunity to meet with the Head of Cooperation and Standardization Center, Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH), Ministry of Religious Affairs, Bapak Abd. Syakur, at the BPJPH office in East Jakarta.

The discussion was commenced by Bapak Abd. Syakur and opened by Edison Bako, Executive Director of EuroCham. The meeting was attended by various working group representatives including Andri Kusandri (Director of Market Access and Government Affairs at Merck), Erike Yanidia (Regulatory Management & Trade Compliance Manager at Merck Chemicals and Life Sciences), Haqiki Aplesiasfika (EH&S Product Regulatory Specialist at Dow Chemicals), Woro Umayi Ananda (Regulatory Science Manager at Bayer Crop Science), Tono Eko Prayitno (Regulatory Affairs Manager at Unilever), and Mohamad Adnan Luthfi Jamali (Public Affairs Specialist at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners).

The objective of the meeting was to discuss current developments on the halal policy in Indonesia. We would like to thank Bapak Abd Syakur and his team (Ibu Petriana Santi, Bapak Zen, and Bapak Sukandar) for taking the time to have a constructive discussion. It is hoped that the dialogue can be done regularly in the future.

Meeting with HSBC ASEAN Desks for France Benelux, DACH and Nordics

On 29 May, EuroCham Indonesia met with Mr. Johannes Greess, HSBC ASEAN Desks for France Benelux, DACH and Nordics at HSBC office in WTC Complex. During the meeting, Mr. Edison Bako, Executive Director of EuroCham Indonesia, and Mr. Johannes Greess discusses opportunities ahead to align EuroCham and HSBC's common goals of promoting Indonesia's investment to the world, especially to the European countries. Mr. Edison Bako also provided his insights on the challenges and opportunities of doing business in Indonesia.
